Rules: Special Show exhibits must be bred in SD, fed in SD, and shown by SD exhibitor. Futurity Show exhibits must have been purchase at 2023 Excellence Sale or 2024 Watertown Winter Farm Show to be eligible.

If the Spotlight Champion or Reserve isn’t eligible for the Special, the judge will be informed and pick a Special eligible Champion and Reserve.
Show Order: Starting at 8:00am in the south ring: Heifer Futurity, Steer Futurity, Heifer Special/Spotlight, Steer Special/Spotlight, Carcass Contest.
Awards: Special & Futurity Ch Heifer & Steer receive $1,000, Reserve Ch. Heifer & Steer receive $500. Each exhibit receives a class payout during Special/Spotlight.
Carcass Contest: ALL Special steers are required to participate in the Carcass Contest. Ultrasound is on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 6:00-8:00PM (same time as check-in).
Awards: Top 10 steers receive $500, $400, $300, $200, $100, $90, $80, $75, $50, $40
